Around 5,000 people from all walks of life attended a mass Iftar party hosted by the Bangladesh Quran Sunnah Parishad (QSP) at the Madrasa Qatar ground .
Addressing the gathering, QSP president Moulana Rashid Chowdhury called upon them to adhere to the teachings of the Holy Quran.

He underlined the importance of spreading the teachings of the Holy Quran as “Allah has honored the Muslim community as the best Ummah with the responsibility of enjoining what is right and prohibiting what is wrong.”

Chowdhury said the Muslim Ummah can find solutions to its problems if it turns to the teachings of the Holy Quran. He urged the gathering to learn the scientific truths explained in the Quran.

“It is not appropriate for a follower of Islam just to be concerned about himself without any feelings for others,” Chowdhury said.

He also spoke on the spiritual aspects of fasting. “Fasting is a means of seeking nearness to Allah,” the scholar said.
