According to Al-Watan newspaper, Sa’eed Al-Asbahi, the secretary of Al-Manabir Al-Quraniah Committee affiliated to Al-Najah Charity Association in Kuwait said that the competition will be held in cooperation with the Sport Club of the Hearing Impaired in Kuwait.
Male and female Quran memorizers will separately compete in the two categories of the contest including memorization of Surah Fajr and Ikhlas and memorization of Surah Fatiha, Qadr and Ikhlas.
The participants can also compete in the memorization of Nabawi Hadiths, he said.
The club will host the competition on the 24th and 25th of the holy month of Ramadan after Taraweeh prayers.
The closing ceremony of the competition will be held on Eid Al-Fitr in the club and 10 top participants will be awarded.
Encouraging this group of the society to learn Quran and Hadith and attend Ramadan Quranic-cultural programs, getting them acquainted with Quranic teachings and developing educational Quranic projects for the disabled are among the objectives of the competition.
