According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the group comprising a number of Iranian veterans, has been dispatched to Armenia by ICRO on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Blue Mosque of Yerevan hosts the Quranic programs one hour before the evening prayers every day.
The programs begin with the recitation of one Juz' (part) of the Holy Quran and conclude with Tawasheeh performance.
Every year during Ramadan, ICRO sends Quran reciters and Tawasheeh groups to different countries to hold Quranic and religious programs for Muslim worshippers.
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic Hijri calendar.
During Ramadan, Muslims all over the world fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.
They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
