TEHRAN (IQNA) – Far-right group ACT for America was due to hold 67 ‘America First’ rallies in 36 states on September 9, ostensibly to show its support for the ‘common sense America First’ policies pushed by US President Donald Trump.

But in the wake of the Boston protests on Saturday, these have now all been cancelled.

According to ACT’s founder Brigitte Gabriel, the America First rallies will now be replaced with an ‘online "Day of ACTion”.

In a statement reported by far-right news site Breitbart, ACT said: ‘In recent weeks, extremist and radical organizations in the United States and abroad have overrun peaceful events in order to advance their own agendas, and in many cases, violence has been the result.’

Gabriel has previously said that devout Muslims ‘cannot be loyal citizens of the US’, that ‘every practicing Muslim is a radical Muslim’, and that Arabs ‘have no soul’.

Earlier this year, ACT held ‘March Against Sharia’ rallies in 28 cities across the US.
