TEHRAN (IQNA) – A conference titled “Islamic Art Facing Extremism” is planned to be held in Alexandria, Egypt, on December 5 to 7.

According to albawabhnews, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the National Egyptian Committee for Museums, will jointly organize the program.

The aim of the conference is to establish a committee of museums and sections of Islamic art within the committees of the International Council of Museums, in order to coordinate their programs and activities and establish joint events to promote this art.

In addition to establishing a network for those working in the fields of Islamic art, whether academically or in traditional crafts to revive and spread Islamic art, the conference will work to spread the love of life and beauty values against the culture of hatred through artistic products.

The Royal Library of Alexandria or Ancient Library of Alexandria in Alexandria, Egypt, was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. The library was part of a larger research institution called the Museum of Alexandria, where many of the most famous thinkers of the ancient world studied.
