Egyptian Quranic Figure Laid to Rest
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The funeral of prominent Egyptian Quranic figure Sheikh Mustafa Raghib was held in his home village Sunday.
According to al-Yawm al-Sabi, a large number of people attended the funeral at Mit Assim village near Banha in Egypt’s Qalyubia Governorate.
Mustafa Raghib died Saturday after suffering a heart attack.
He started learning the Quran by heart at an early age and managed to memorize the entire Holy Book in a short time.
He was a graduate of Al-Azhar University in the field of Hadith sciences.
Mustafa Raghib taught Quran memorization at the Quha center affiliated to Al-Azhar.
He also recited the Quran with a beautiful voice imitating the style of prominent Egyptian Qari Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Hasri.
