Iran Parliament Speaker to Officiate Islamic Unity Conference Closing Ceremony

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference will wrap up on Monday evening.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani will be the keynote speaker at the closing ceremony, which will be hosted by the IRIB Conference Hall in Tehran.

It will begin at 6:30 PM and include unveiling a number of books and a speech by Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST).

The conference began in the Iranian capital on Saturday with representatives of 100 countries in attendance.

It is annually organized by the WFPIST with the aim of promoting unity in the Muslim world.

On Sunday, marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the participants in the conference met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
