Quran Competition for Armed Forces Underway in Qatar

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 23rd Quran contest for Qatar’s armed forces got underway in the Arab country on Thursday.

According to al-Arab daily, a total of 168 contenders are competing in different categories of the event.

There are 154 contestants in the men’s section and 14 in the women’s section.

It is the first time women are attending the competition.

Top officials of the Qatari armed forces were present at the opening ceremony in Doha.

Memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of 25 Juzes (parts), 20 Juzes, 15 Juzes, 10 Juzes, 5 Juzes and 3 Juzes are the categories of the contest.
