Iraq Ready for Establishing University of Islamic Denominations: VP

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iraqi Vice President Nuri Al Maliki said the Baghdad government supports establishment and development of the University of Islamic Denominations in the Arab country.

 

Speaking at a meeting with the chancellor of the university, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hossein Mokhtari, Maliki lauded the activities of the university and its part in enhancing Islamic unity and proximity.

He also vowed that the government of Iraq will facilitate and support the establishment of the university’s branches in the country.

Mokhtari, for his part, said the university has played a special role in training experts who work for proximity of Islamic schools of thought and highlighted the potentials for development of cooperation between the two countries in this area.
