Quranic Seminar on Fighting Terrorism Held in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A seminar titled “Fighting Terrorism in View of Quran” was organized earlier this week at the University of Cairo, Egypt.

 

According to baladana alyoum news website, the Dar-ol-Ulum Faculty of the university hosted the Quranic program on October 29. It was attended by a number of Al-Azhar teachers and researchers.

Sa’duddin Hilali, teacher of comparative jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University, Khalid Okasha, director of the Center for Strategic Policies in Egypt, Abdul Mohsin Mohammad Abdul Razi, dean of the faculty and media activists were among the participants in the seminar.

The main objective of the program was to stress the need for acting upon the Quranic teachings on disseminating peace, justice and freedom.

At the end of the program, Osama Ibrahim al-Amin, an Egyptian journalist and secretary general of the “Message of Peace” Research Institute read out the seminar conclusions which stressed the need for fighting corrupt ideologies.

“Relying on Quran as the main source of true Islam and making use of its verses for inviting to peace, mercy, justice freedom, friendship and respecting others” and “revising the teaching methods at religious institutes, schools and Al-Azhar University to disseminate the culture of rationalism and enlightenment” were also stressed at the seminar.
