Winners of 26th Al-Mustafa Int’l Quran, Hadith Festival Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The winners of the 26th edition of Al-Mustafa International University’s Quran and Hadith Festival were announced by the university’s Quran and Hadith center.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hossein Rafiei, director general of the center, told IQNA that the competition was held in written and oral sections with the participation of more than 10,000 men and women seminarians.

The contenders in the 26th edition competed in the 18 categories of the event, which was held online due to teh coronavirus restrictions.

Self-sacrifice, resistance and the Islamic Revolution’s discourse were the themes of this year’s festival, Hojat-ol-Islam Rafiei further said.

From among 287 participants in the supplication recitation category, Seyyed Mustafa Husseini and Susan Zahra won the first rank in men and women groups respectively.

Mohammad Raheem Tavakkoli was the first rank winner among seminarians in the category of recitation of Maqtal (story of Ashura events), included in the competition for the first time this year.

In Ibtihal recitation, Ahmad Adil Al-Badri won the first rank among the 13 participants.

Sermon recitation was the other new category in this year’s festival attended by 25 male and female seminarians and the university staff.

Hassan Zeynuddin, Razieh Mortaza and Majid Sharifia came first in the category respectively in the men, women and teachers and the staff groups.

Al-Mustafa International University is a religious and Islamic university established to expand and introduce Islamic and religious teachings in the world through modern facilities and technologies.

It annually organizes the international Quran and Hadith festival for its students and their family members from various countries.
