Celebration of Ramadan in Muslim Countries
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Thursday marked the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan in most Islamic countries.
Muslims welcome the holy month with different traditions and practices such as dusting and cleaning mosuqes and holy sites, decorating and lighting up streets, buying new clothes, cooking special meals and sweets, holding Quranic programs, attending congregational prayers and offering meals to Muslims at the time of Iftar (breaking fast).
