The center’s branch in the African country has cooperated in holding the programs, which have been attended by tens of students, the website of the Astan reported.
The Warith al-Anbiya Institute in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso has been hosting the Quranic events, said Ali Aboud al-Taei, the head of the Astan’s department for Quranic activities in Africa.
He said the educational programs are held in person every week on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
The participants receiving lessons on recitation of the Quran and correct pronunciation of Quranic words, he added.
Al-Taei went on to say that the programs are organized as part of the Astan’s strategy to promote the Quranic culture.
Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa, surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north; Niger to the east; Benin to the southeast; Togo and Ghana to the south; and Ivory Coast to the southwest.
