IQNA – The Israeli regime’s relentless attacks on the Gaza Strip have not deterred the people from taking part in Quranic programs.

People in Gaza continue taking Quranic courses despite Israeli attacks

Gazans have warmly welcomed Quran courses being held in the camps housing those displaced as a result of the Zionist regime’s aggression.

The courses mainly feature lessons on memorization of the Quran and reading the Holy Book.

The Quranic centers of the Gaza Strip that organized the courses in cities are now holding them in refugee camps.

In every camp, including those in Rafah, a tent has been devoted to hosting Quranic courses.

They attract Quran learners from different age groups, especially children and women.

In the Al-Quds School in Rafah that hosts thousands of refugees, Quran teacher Intisar al-Arabid teaches the Quran to tens of children.

Mahmoud Siam, 7, is one of the learners who is trying to memorize Surah An-Naba of the Holy Quran.

He says that by taking the Quranic courses, he tries to make the best of his free time as he has not been to school for more than three months.

According to Abdul Mata al-Akhras, head of the Dar al-Itqan Quran Memorization Center in Rafah, the center has set up 70 Quran memorization tents in refugee camps in and around the city.

The Israeli regime’s attacks on Gaza that began on October 7, 2023, have killed over 25,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, wounding thousands of others and displacing hundreds of thousands.
