Arba’een Mourning Ceremony Planned in Finland

A mourning ceremony will be held on the occasion of Arba’een (40 days after Ashura) on December 26 in Finland.




According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the program will be organized by the Islamic Center of Finland with the participation of Muslims of the region and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) devotees.



It will begin at 6 p.m. local time. with recitation of the Holy Quran’s verses, Komayl supplication and Ashura pilgrimage.



Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Alaa’ Bushehri, lecturer of Qom Seminary will present speeches in Persian and Arabic languages about Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising.



Islam is a minority religion in Finland. Since the late 20th century the number of Muslims in Finland has increased rapidly due to immigration. There are about 50,000–60,000 Muslims in Finland.
