Leader Attends Mourning Ceremony Marking Imam Sajjad (AS) Martyrdom
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei attended a ceremony held to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS).
The ceremony was held Monday night at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya (religious center) in Tehran.
Addressing the event, Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Khatami highlighted the virtues of martyrdom on the path of God.
He also underlined that the martyrs of Karbala and companions of Imam Hussein (AS) are the most outstanding martyrs.
Also, Hojat-ol-Islam Shahidi recited elegies in mourning of Imam Hussein (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS) martyrdom.
It was not attended by people unlike previous years due to the health recommendations to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
