Mohsen Nemati, an official with the custodianship of the shrine, said the programs will be organized starting on Tuesday under the health protocols.
He said they include elegy recitations, religious speeches, recitation of Arbaeen and Ashura supplications, and mourning rituals.
The day of Arbaeen, marked on the 20th day of the lunar Hijri month of Safar, falls on Thursday, October 8, this year.
Arbaeen, which is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS).
Shah Cheragh is a funerary monument and mosque in Shiraz, housing the tomb of Ahmad and Muhammad, the sons of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS), the seventh Shia Imam.
It is the most important pilgrimage center of Shiraz in Iran’s southern province of Fars.
