Religious Scholar Survives Terrorist Attack in Afghanistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A prominent religious scholar and three others were injured in a terrorist attack in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

Malawi Abdul Salam Abid, a scholar and Quran reciter and three of his companions were injured in the attack on Friday, Dari Radio reported.  

Witnesses said terrorists had attached a sticky bomb to the vehicle carrying the four and they were injured after it went off.

The Taliban’s interior ministry confirmed the attack. There has been no claim of responsibility for the terrorist incident yet.

Malawi Abdul Salam Abid is a Quran and Hadith expert who teaches the Quran and holds Quranic sessions.

He is also the president of a charity institute named Ihsas that has served thousands of poor people in the country.
