Meshkat Quran Memorization Plan Launched
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 12th edition of a plan for memorization of the Quran via phone got underway in Iran this week.
Dubbed Meshkat, the plan is implemented by the Iranian Academics Quranic Organization.
More than 100 people with impairments, including visually-impaired individuals, are taking part in the plan to learn the Quran by heart.
Seven Quran experts help them in memorizing the Holy Book via telephone.
The implementation of this edition of the plan will continue until the end of the summer.
The Holy Quran is the only religious Scripture that is memorized by its followers.
Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.
The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
