Islamic Charity to Host Toy Giveaway in Chicago for Eid al-Fitr

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Circle of North America Relief in Chicago plans to launch toy giveaways for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.  

The Muslim-based charity wants to make Eid celebrations just a little easier for families with the massive toy giveaway.

It hopes to hand out 1,000 toys to kids for the holiday.

Eid al-Fitr commemorates the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. It is expected to fall on April 21 this year.

Ramadan is one of the holiest months of worship, fasting, and giving.

It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in which Muslims fast from dawn to sunset.
