Sheikh Qassim Slams Plunder of Islamic Endowments in Bahrain
Sheikh Qassim in a statement called on the rulers of Bahrain to stop this trend and refrain from acting against Islamic rules.
The endowments of Bahrain’s Shia Muslims have been plundered by usurpers’ hands and this needs to be rectified immediately, he said.
The senior cleric also condemned the changes in school textbooks aimed at appeasing the Zionist regime by distorting history and undermining tenets of religion.
This is a clear confrontation with Islam and Muslims cannot remain silent about it, he said.
Any changes in educational programs that undermine the religion and run counter to Bahrainis’ national values must stop, he stressed.
Sheikh Qassim also praised courageous stances by Bahrain’s Shia and Sunni clerics in support of Islam and its sanctities and in rejection of the changes to school programs.
