Rasoul Azam Int’l Conference in Yemen to Discuss Character of Holy Prophet

SANAA (IQNA) – An international conference is planned to be held in Yemen on the character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and different aspects of his movement.

The Quran Teaching Charity Society will organize the scholarly event, titled Rasoul Azam (the Great Prophet) in the capital Sana’a.

It is slated for early October, concurrent with the lunar Hijri month of Rabi al-Awwal in which falls the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birth anniversary, Yemen’s news agency reported.

Abdul Rahman al-Ifad, secretary general of the society, told the news agency that the international conference is aimed at promoting the Quranic culture and introducing the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

It also seeks to analyze different dimensions of the life of the Prophet (PBUH) in the cultural, social, political, economic, scientific, and other areas and discuss how to prevent weaknesses that are caused by Muslims’ moving away from the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet (PBUH), he added.

The conference will be held in Yemen for the first time and will be attended by a large number of scholars and researchers from different countries, al-Ifad went on to say.

Every year, Muslims all over the world hold various ceremonies and programs in the month of Rabi al-Awwal to celebrate the birth anniversary of the last messenger of God.
