Spring of Palestinian Liberation to Follow This Storm: Hamas Rep.
Khaled Al-Qaddumi, a representative of the Hamas resistance movement in Tehran, made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing an event organized by the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research and hosted by IQNA in support of the Palestinian people.
“Today we are witnessing a media war,” he said, referring to distorted news about what goes on in the Gaza and occupied territories, especially through social media.
He noted that “Media and diplomacy are the next lines in defending the Palestinian people.”
“Media tools are as effective as al-Qassam Brigade’s rockets,” he added.
The remarks come as at least 2,800 Palestinians, including more than 1,000 children, have been killed by Israeli strikes since October 7.
The Israeli attacks started after Palestinian resistance forces launched an unprecedented military operation against occupied territories in response to the desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque and increased Israeli violence in recent months. More than 1,300 Israeli soldiers and settlers were killed during the offensive on October 7.
“Today’s war is between right and wrong,” Al-Qaddumi said.
“We see that the Zionist regime bombs Rafah crossing and did not allow humanitarian aid coming in,” he added.
“As Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei said, the recent defeat of the Zionist regime is irreparable and this indicates its imminent end,” he said, adding, “We only need to be more patient.”
“After this storm will see the spring of freedom which will bring the liberation of Palestine.”
Elsewhere, he called for unity in the Muslim world to support Palestine, adding, “As a member of the resistance, I ask heads of Muslim countries to open their borders for the presence of people in the battle against the Zionist regime as people know how they can defeat this enemy.”
