Speaking at a program in Jabal Amel region of Lebanon on Saturday night, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine also expressed condolences to the people of Iran.
He said those behind the terror attack are ignorant of Islam and its sublime teachings, Al-Ahed News reported.
Those who commit such heinous acts in the name of Islam and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) have nothing to do with the religion, he underlined.
“Can one who killed women, men and children in a holy place in Shiraz be called Muslim? Can he say he is a follower of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?
“What sin had the children, women and men coming on pilgrimage to this holy shrine committed? They just said prayers and prayed to God.”
Safieddine stressed the need for true Muhammadan Islam to be presented to people.
He added that the Islamic resistance front has portrayed the true Muhammadan Islam by achieving victories moving on the path of self-sacrifice and martyrdom.
An armed Daesh-affiliated terrorist stormed Shah Cheragh -- a sacred and popular Shia shrine in the city – on Wednesday evening.
The terrorist started shooting indiscriminately at pilgrims. Scores were martyred and injured during the assault.
